On the Conformable Functions of Agroecosystem
CHENG Zhi-shan
1994, 2(4): 10-13.
Abstract(1295) PDF(928)
Abstract:
The relationship between conformable functions and overall functions of agro-eco-system was analysed in this paper. It was pointed out that functional conformability is the essential character of an agroecosystem. The improvement of the overall functions of an agroecosystem depends on the improvement of its conformable functions which would be carried out by optimizing the system structure. Then conformable functions of an agro-eco-system can be taken as a key index for judging the performances of the structures and overall functions of the agroecosystem.

Abstract(1197) PDF(995)
Abstract:
From the viewpoint of biodiversity, theconcept of agroforestry, its back-ground and the process of sustainable development of agroforestry in the world were discussed in this paper. The existing problems in the development of agroforestry management and its developing prospect in China were presented.
Stabilizing Machanisms for Livestock Production System
ZHANG Yun-tao, FANG De-luo
1994, 2(4): 18-21.
Abstract(1314) PDF(892)
Abstract:
Livestock production system is an artifical ecosystem. The main goal of modern animal husbandary is to establish the livestock production system with high efficiency, stability and good hological function. The stablilzing machanisms for livestock production system include internal homeostatic mechanism and external adjustable mechanism. The internal homeostatic mechanism is composed of comformability, diversity, substitutibility and homogeneity of ecological niche. The external adjustable mechanism mainly means the equal adjustment mechanism.
Study on Rational Land Use for Comprehensive Agro-development--A Case Study from Jixian County,Shanxi Province
BAO Xiao-bin
1994, 2(4): 22-27.
Abstract(1192) PDF(861)
Abstract:
Based on regional eco-economy theory and the practices of comprehensive agro-development in the west region of Shanxi Province, overall planning of land use in Jixian County was conducted, ways for rational land utilization and stragetic tactics were discussed.
The Effects of Microgeomorphology on Soil Formation and Agricultural Utilization in Modern Yellow River Delta
YUAN Fang-yao
1994, 2(4): 28-33.
Abstract(1132) PDF(797)
Abstract:
The effects of sediment environment and microgeomorphologic features on soil formation and distribution were studied based on the correspendence relation of microgeomorphology-soil-agriculture utilization in modern Yellow River dalta. The suitability of salt soil for farming in this area was also evaluated with directions for rationally conservation and utilization of the soils.
Material-flow Structure and Nitrogen-recycling Efficiency of Kangji Ecological Farm
ZNOU Zhi-xiang, ZHU Zhao-hua, LU Xing-yu, LIU Jin-long
1994, 2(4): 34-42.
Abstract(981) PDF(893)
Abstract:
Detailed analysis of the material-flow structure and recycling efficiency was conducted based on analysing the nitrogen cycling in Dangji Ecological Farm. The results showed that the farm has established an initial system of material-flow structure of plantation,forestry,poultry,stock-raising and fishery.Within the system, the nitrogen output-input ratio between organic nitrogen and inorganic nitrogen is 1.19,system stable index is 0.980,nitrogen conversion efficiency of secondary production reaches 19.94%.The total recycling nitrogen from waste organic material reaches 11934.5 kg. Based on the potentials of nitrogen utilization and the state of material flow, measures for raising nitrogen conversion efficiency and enhancing whole system's stability were put forward.
Microclimate in the Downland Region of Taihang Mountains and the Construction of Artifical Vegetation
LIU Jin-tong, CAI Hong, YUN Zheng-ming, ZHANG Wan-jun
1994, 2(4): 43-48.
Abstract(1206) PDF(1001)
Abstract:
Based on analysis of a large quantity of microclimatic data collected at defferent locations of the downland region of Taihang Mountains, the regular pattern of gradient distribution of microclimatic factors and climatic vegetation types for different slopes were presented in this paper.Microclimatic adaptability for construction of artifical vegetation was also evaluated. This provides the basis for exploitation of the climatic resources and construction of high efficiency biostand in this region.
Ecological Functions of Diversified Farmland landscape
LIU Gui-bo, YANG Zong-li
1994, 2(4): 49-56.
Abstract(891) PDF(900)
Abstract:
The simple horizontal distribution of farmland landscape in Haihe lowland plain is the reason that farmland landscape is losing its ecological stability.Based on this problem and guided by the landscape ecological principles and methods, a study was conducted to indicate that the diversified crop landscape reduces the incidence of plant disease and insect pests and improves field microclimate. The study makes clear that the relationship between the landscape unit standard and composition of landscape elements with insect pests incidence. The results provide a scientific basis for better management of the farmland landscape ecology and its ecological stability.
Evaluation of the Functions of a Compound Agroecosystem
YUAN Cong-yi, ZHAO Qiang-ji, ZHENG Jian-chu
1994, 2(4): 57-65.
Abstract(1290) PDF(950)
Abstract:
In this paper stability and sustainability of food production and agricultural output value were used to assess the general holostic production performances, and homogenity or diversity was used to express the overall agricultural development of the compound agro-ecosystem in Fuma village, which is located in the subtropical hilly region. The results from analysis of the input-output of energy,N,P,K and funds in each subecosystem showed that the overall flux of those factors and system openess were all increased in the recent ten years, and the utilization efficiency for solar radiation was increased, energy input-output ratio was decreased in cropland sub-ecosystem.For animal husbandary sub-ecosystem,transfer rates were increased significantly. The population bearing capacity of land was also increased from 13.8 persons/ha in 1980 to 15.5 persons/ha in 1989 based on the rapidly developing animal husbandary.By calculation it was suggested that the food production in this region could support double its present population.
