Abstract(999) PDF(898)
Abstract:
This paper introduced the procedures of breeding Zaoyou 504,an new wheat variety, which has the characteristics of disease, high yield and fine quality, and is suitable for interplant and multiple cropping.By combination of distant crossing, chromosome engineering and conventional breeding technicals Zaoyou 504 was developed by crossing between octoploid tritielytrigia Zhong 5 and Triticum aestivum.
A study on developing resource-saving animal husbandary in poor mountain regions--Experiments on meat-type rabbit keeping
Liu Mingjun
1995, 3(4): 29-32.
Abstract(893) PDF(835)
Abstract:
By utilization of the cheap feed resources to develop meat-type rabbit keeping to transfer the low quality feed into fine quanlity meat feed is an effective way for developing concentrated feeding stuff-saving animal husbandary in poor mountain regions. With this method high economic benefits have been achieved.
Potassium balance in farmland in North China plain
Hu Chaobing, Tian Zhenrong
1995, 3(4): 33-37.
Abstract(1247) PDF(911)
Abstract:
Most solis in North China Plain were developed on the alluvial deposite of Yellow River with high mineral potassium contents. So it is not necessary to apply potassic fertilizer to the low and medium production farmland.Otherwise,"Luxury Consumption"would ocurr. Then potassium balance studies in agroecosystem are especially necessary for crop production.Based on a three-year experiment K balace and K supplying capacity of the soils in North China Plain were analysed in this papers.
Climate chang and sustainable agricultural development in China
Yu Huning
1995, 3(4): 38-43.
Abstract(1099) PDF(1087)
Abstract:
Climate chang will affect the patterns of cloud, temperature and precipitation in earth, then directly affects agricultural production in china, especially for different type of regions the impacts of climate change will be different.Based on analysis of a vast amount of research data, the author presented some measures for increasing the adaptibility of agriculture to future climate change, which include:to establish stable agroecosystems, protect eco-environment and biodiversity, bring full play of the shelter effects of forest, defense agro-climate sensitivity regions etc.
The influences of potassium sulfate on maize yield and interaction of nitrogen and potassium
Chen Tongbing, Xiang Yueqin
1995, 3(4): 44-48.
Abstract(1318) PDF(823)
Abstract:
Field experiment was carried out to study the effects of K2SO4 application on maize yield, biomass,N and K uptake and their re-use in slightly salinized Chao soil. The results showed that for the tested soil with high available K content, K supply greatly increased the output of summer corn and improved N and K uptake by the plants, but reduced the recycling rate of N and K in the plants significantly at the later growth stage.
Estimation of evapotranspiration by considering the advection effect
Mo Xingguo
1995, 3(4): 49-53.
Abstract(1236) PDF(865)
Abstract:
An advection aridity evaporation model, which includes the effect of advection on local evaporation,is introduced in this study to estimate farmland evapotranspiration of by Bowen ratio, the energy balance method. Results showed that the advection-aridity model can predict the evapotranspiration from winter wheat field very well.Besides, the model requires only meteorological date at one height in the farmland,so the model can be applied to practical use.

1995, 3(4): 54-57.
Abstract(1392) PDF(1036)
Abstract:
Summarizing more than ten years field experiments and research results, the author presented some ideas on research contents, plot assignments for field measurement, instruments used and observation methods and etc.for the research on ecological factors of crop canopy.
Patterns and technologies for high yield of delayed planting winter wheat after cotton harvested
Liu Ruiwen
1995, 3(4): 58-62.
Abstract(1114) PDF(999)
Abstract:
After several years experiments and extensive investigations on late planted winter wheat after cotton harvested, the canopy structure and its influence on yield were analysed systemati-cally. The results showed that the optimum LAI was about 5.5 to 6.0 ,the vertical distribution of leaf area was uniform and most of the ears were from main stalk. The length of green leaf area extending period, dry matter production and partitioning condition were also analysed.Based on the results, and optimum pattern for high yield of the late planting winter wheat after cotton harvested was that high density of stalk, suitable varieties and appropriate fertilizer and water supply.

Li Jun
1995, 3(4): 63-66.
Abstract(1535) PDF(999)
Abstract:
Nitrous oxide(N2O)is an important greenhouse gas. This paper gives a summary about the effects of agricultural activities such as fertilizer application, irrigation, tillage, crop planting and changes of land use on N2O emission from soil. And measures for reducing N2O emission were also discussed.
The development and application of the squeezing instrument for sampling soil water

1995, 3(4): 67-69.
Abstract(1490) PDF(935)
Abstract:
The structure, working principles and performance of the squeezing instrument for sampling soil water, which was researched and produced by Institute of Geography,CAS,were introduced in this paper. Performance test and technical examine showed that the instrument has high stability and repeatability. The instrument can be used for soil water chemistry studies. It has the features such as fast sampling, easily operation and etc., and can also be used at lower soil water content (slightly over 10%)
Effects of soil temperature, water stress and sowing depth on germination and emergence of maize
Wang Huixiao
1995, 3(4): 70-74.
Abstract(1880) PDF(1465)
Abstract:
The germination experiments were carried out both in laboratory and in fields. Results showed that when soil water content was lower than 10%,maize germination would be constrained.Large temperature difference will accelerate germination rate by comparision of the thermal time for Gt50 between laboratory and field results, and among field results of different sowing date.Thermal time reqired for 50% seed germination was at 18.6 to 23.8 ℃ ds depending on the difference in temperature.Sowing depth affected the rate of emergence. When sowing depth was increased from 5cm to 8cm,time repuired for 50% emergence was increased by half a day,and for 80% emergence by one day.
