A study on stipulation of the criteria for the construction of eco-agricuitoral counties in China
Wang Hongkang
1997, 5(1): 7-11.
Abstract(850) PDF(768)
Abstract:
The criteria for the construction of eco-agricultural counties in China should coordinate social, economic and environmental effects together.Firstly.the social effects should be emphasized, which include population contro1,cultural,scientific and moral education.technical trainning and so on.Secondly the economic criteria should reflect the increase of gross national product(GNP)and average income per capita every year.Thirdly for the criteria of production and environment, not only are the yield, commodity rate of agricultural products,input/output in planting, animal husbandary output value/total agricultural output value inctnded, but alsoare the forest and grass coverage, management of the degenerated land ,water-saving agriculture, recommended fertilization, integrated pest anagement, waste water treatment and etc.included.The construction of eco-agricultural counties can be divided into thlee stages, and on the basis of different situations in east coastal regions and west inland regions, the criteria are presented respectively.

1997, 5(1): 12-17.
Abstract(1060) PDF(809)
Abstract:
Based on the Bowen Ratio-Energy Balance Method (BREB),the paper analyzes the variational characteristic of the energy balance components and the latent enrgy partition in the winter wheat field after the wheat regreen. The soil moisture content and leaf area index (LAI) are the critical factors in energy partition process. Besides, the variation of evaporation from soil as related to leaf area index has also been calculated and analyzed.
The duble effecte of crop growthon soil smoisture fluctuation
Liu Jianli, Shi Yuanchun, Luo Yuanpei
1997, 5(1): 18-21.
Abstract(1010) PDF(759)
Abstract:
A review was conducted to study the double effects, lag effect and compensation effect of the plants, on rewatering after water stress. The unfavorable effects of water stress on plant can be compensated completely or partly, depending on the extent and sustainable time of water stress.Whether the compensatory effect exists or not is the focus in biological studies in the world.Establishing a time-lag simulation model to explain the effects of soil water conditions on crop growth from the view of whole plants is an important studying target based on the knowledge of crop growth and water relationship and the double effects of crop on the fluctuation of soil moisture.

Abstract(677) PDF(770)
Abstract:
Based on the characteristics of watershed eco-economic system planning, the goal programming method was selected to conduct the programming process.Taking the Loess Plateau as an example,a goal programming model for watershed eco-economic system was established and its running process was analyzed.
Functional assessment of agricultural ecosystems
Tan Chuanfeng, Li Jiacheng
1997, 5(1): 31-36.
Abstract(1129) PDF(780)
Abstract:
The assessment of the functions of agricultural ecosystem is ont only the prerequsite of protection, and management of ecosystems but also the foundation for system's optimization and sustainable development. In this paper, seven large agricultural ecosystems in Hubei Province are studied, and a "triangle" multifactor evaluation model is set up to guide the protection and management of agricultural ecosystems.
Establishment of rapid screening techniques for shade-tolerant rice(Oryza sativa L )
Chen Yifeng
1997, 5(1): 37-41.
Abstract(987) PDF(1015)
Abstract:
The high potentials of rice production are directly limited by light stress(shade).Establishing rapid screening techniques for shade-tolerant rice varieties can help to solve this problem.Three rice(Oryza sativa L.)varicties,02428,Nanjing 35 and Sunong 3037,were used to compare the indexes for selecting shade-tolerant rice varieties. The results showed that the green-leaf keeping ability of 10-day rice seedlings under darkness of 7 days is identical to the declining of dry weight and chlorophyll contents of the rice seedlings under low-Light intensity, and also consistent to changes of chlorophyll contents and net photosynthetic rates of rice leaves from tiller to elongation under shading, and comparable to the net photosynthetic rates of flag leaves under transient lower light intensity. Thus, the green leaf-keping ability of rice seedling under darkness could he used to set up a rapid technique for selecting shade-tolerant rice germplasm.
A study on the patterns of ecological stereo planting of crops, fruits, vegetables and fungus
Diao Jialian, Chen Shufen, Yu Cuifang, Wen Jinxiang, Cui Qizhi
1997, 5(1): 42-46.
Abstract(1033) PDF(882)
Abstract:
The experimental results showed that the stereo planting of different plants together produces more favorable eco-environment than the conventional sole crop planting pattern, and also has higher light use efficiency, larger plant and leaf area index, and more dry matters. The economic benefit is several times higher.
Efects of Conservation tillage and crop residues on soil nutrient contents
Sun Haiguo, Francis J.Larney
1997, 5(1): 47-51.
Abstract(1668) PDF(1184)
Abstract:
The experimental results showed that the nutrient contents of loamy soil under two crops a year(winter wheat+maize) was increasing with the decrease of tillage practices to the soil. The contents of organic matter,tota1 N and available P of surface soi1(0~10cm) under zer0 tillage were significantly higher(P<0.05)than those under conventional tillage (shallow tillage),and available K was the highest among all the treatments. The increasing of available P and K for the zer0 tillage is significantly related to the increasing of organic matter and decrease of pH value resulting from the organic matter increasing. There was a linear relationship existing among those factors.Straw mulch is favorable to the nutrient accumulation at surface soil, but itsingnificant different efects have nat found compared with othercrop residue retention measures.
Studies on development of resource-saving animal husbandary in poor mountain areas--Experiment on introduction of Chinese White Geese
Liu Minjun, Li Bo
1997, 5(1): 52-54.
Abstract(810) PDF(698)
Abstract:
Development of resource-saving grass-eating animal husbandary is a way for solving the problem of grain shortage in poor mountain areas. A demonstration experiment was condueted to introduce Chinese white geese to poor mountain areas for the purpose of providing useful technics to farmers. The 5 years' work showed that developing small grass-eating animal husbandary in mountain areas is possible, providing a way for uti1ization of the grass and forest resources in mountain areas.

Abstract(885) PDF(1340)
Abstract:
Thirty household ecosystems in cool irrigation area of Hexi were classified into uhree types by cluster analysis, that are livestock rising+planting type.planting+livestock rising type and sole p]anting type. The economic, social, ecological and comprehensive benefits of the 3 types were analysed.According to benefit index live stock rising+planting type had the highest benefits.planting+livestock rising followed as the next, sole planting type had the lowest benefits. The energy and material conversion rate as well as soil nutrient contents showed that increasing the input in animal husbandry can improve output and benefits of agroecosystem.
