Aim and scope
Chinese Journal of Eco-Agriculture (CJEA) is a peer-reviewed academic journal that deals inclusively with the theories and methods of eco-agriculture. The goal of the journal is to provide a platform for scientists, academicians, and engineers to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of eco-agriculture.
It publishes full-length research papers, rapid communications and review works and covers all major aspects of eco-agriculture, including but not limited to the following areas: structure, function, succession and stability of agroecosystem; agricultural resources protection and utilization; global environmental changes and agroecosystem; agro-landscape; agro-biology; crop cultivation and physiological ecology; crop resistance physiology and ecology; agro-environment management; sustainable agricultural development and successful eco-agricultural modes. These are grouped into four categories, agroecosystem and its management, crop cultivation and physiological ecology, agricultural resources and environment, and agricultural ecologic economics and ecoagriculture.

Copyright
A submitted manuscript has not been published before (except as part of a thesis). The submission of manuscript has been approved by all co-authors without any signing and sorting disputes. Upon the acceptance of the paper, the authors will be required to complete a 'Copyright Transfer Agreement'. Acceptance of the agreement will ensure the widest possible dissemination of the research information.
The transferred copyrights include, without spatial or timely limitation, distribution and reproduction rights of mechanical, electronic and visual versions; electronic storage, retrieval and internet-dissemination rights; compilation right; and rights of all other forms of electronic publication or any other types of publication, and all subsidiary rights.
Submission
Submission to this journal proceeds totally online. Via the homepage of this journal (//www.primetvmedia.com), you will be guided stepwise through the creation and uploading of the various files. Peer Review
CJEA operates a double-blind review process, which means that authors’ and reviewers’ identities are concealed from each other. Reviewer identities are never shared unless the reviewer requests to sign their review.
Before being sent to reviewers, manuscripts are pre-screened by the editorial office to check that they agree with the criteria for publishing in CJEA: accordance with the aims and scope of the journal, nature of the study, originality of the results, quantity and quality of data, general conclusions, and presentation of the work.
After the initial examination, the manuscript will be reviewed by at least two independent peer experts to access its scientificity, and theoretical and practical values. The peer review is objective and impartial, with appropriate processes in place to manage disclosures of interest. The peer reviewers are encouraged to express their views clearly, explaining and justifying all recommendations made to assist the authors in improving their work, and to make a suggestion for acceptance or not or re-review of the manuscript.
Final acceptance will be made by the Editor-in-Chief. He will examine the revised paper and make the final decision. Once a manuscript is accepted and appropriate paperwork has been obtained, it enters the production phase of publication.
Article structure
Use of word-processing software
It is important that the file should be saved in the native format of Microsoft Word (DOC file). The DOC text should be in single-column format and keep the layout of the text as simple as possible.
Subdivision
Divide your article into clearly defined and numbered sections. Subsections should be numbered as 1→1.1→1.1.1, etc. Any subsection may be given a brief heading. Each heading should appear on its own separate line. Generally, the manuscript should be arranged in the following sections and appear in order: Title, Abstract and Keywords, Introduction, Materials and methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements, and References. All manuscripts must be written in clear and grammatically correct English.
Introduction State the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background.
Material and methods Provide sufficient detail to allow the work to be repeated. Methods already published should be indicated by a reference: only relevant modifications should be described.
Results Results should be clear and concise.
Discussion This should explore the significance of the results of the work, not repeat them.
Conclusions The main conclusions of the study may be presented in a short Conclusions section.
Title page
The title page should include article title, full name, affiliation(s) and address(es) of author(s), abstract and keywords in English and Chinese in the text; acknowledgements of source and contract No. of financial support, the first author’s and corresponding author’s professional title, research interests, detailed postal and e-mail addresses in the footnote, both in English and Chinese.
Abstract and keywords
A concise and factual abstract and 5 to 8 keywords both in English and Chinese are required. The abstract should state briefly the purpose, key methods, principal results and major conclusions of the research. An abstract is often presented separately from the article, so it must be able to stand alone. Chinese abstract is required, which should be at least include 500 characters stating the background, purpose, method, results and conclusion of the work.
Tables and Figures
Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively in accordance with their appearance in the text, separately, and accompanied by the title at the top of tables and at the bottom of figures in both English and Chinese. Notes to tables or figures should be below the table or figure body. Do not use figures that duplicate matters in tables. Figures can be supplied in digital format, or photographs and drawings, which can be ready, or with source data, for reproduction. Figure legends and table contents should be in both English and Chinese.
References
Order-System of citations is required. All citations in the text should be referred to the series numbers in superscripted square brackets. In the references list after the text, the Chinese reference should be in both English and Chinese. The reference style in the references list is as following:

Publishing fee
The publishing fee of CNY350 per printed page, and more CNY 500 per color plate will be charged for all the manuscripts accepted. The handling fee of CNY 200 is charged for each paper.
